PVD

Surfaces with the highest light reflection

PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) technology is a continuous deposition treatment in special vacuum chambers of thin metallic and ceramic films, carried out by evaporation or sputtering. Ions are attracted to the metal surface, forming the coating layer.

Thanks to this physical process, the treated surface not only increases its abrasion and corrosion resistance characteristics, but also becomes but also becomes extremely high-performing in terms of high light reflection or absorption, remaining unchanged over time.

The PVD treatment process is carried out by Almeco in its state-of-the-art plant in Bernburg, Germany.

Thin, lightweight and durable, vega is easy to shape into curved mirrors as needed. The material can be supplied in large sheets to reduce the joints, maximizing l'system efficiency.

Selective absorbing surfaces for solar thermal panels

The absorber represents the heart of solar thermal panels: it is up to this surface to collect the energy of solar radiation and convert it into heat, without dissipating it into the environment as heat radiation.
